Love your quilt and love what you stand for. This is not the United States that I grew up in or know. I quilt sometimes to get away from the bad part of politics but believe in First Amendment and like that you spoke out. Thank you

Thanks so much. I've been thinking about that poem probably every day for the past couple years, and I do think (and hope) that's it's what will mobilize people who are not currently engaged in protecting their neighbors. My grandmother survived the Holocaust only because she was hidden as a Jew by her neighbors, and I keep thinking about how critical it is --even if I don't care about others' survival -- for my own survival, to stick up for others.

That was one of my favorite quilts. The picture was sent to me by an artist that has nothing to do with quilting because she thought it was so powerful.
